Eye study

I'm sorry for not uploading anything latly. It's not like I'm not doing stuff it's more like I'm doing twenty pieces at a time plus schoolwork which is getting really on my nerves latly cause I have a deadline for a huge work and exams and then there are friends (this may sound like I'm complaining about them. I'm really not. It's just that they also require attention same as I'm doing with them) and family and hobbys and it feels like I'm just drowning in stuff. I have soooo much to do I feel like I'm not finisheing anything and if then it's not correct and unsatisfying...
(I should probably post this on a post not here...too lazy...)
So as I said I'm working on at least fifteen pieces right now. Some of them I can't do right now because I don't have the materials yet so they're just taking place and others I don't want to do right now cause I might ruin it.
Yesterday I paniced because I really wanted to upload something but I hadn't something finished. And then I suddenly wanted to do an eye study. Just to see if I could do it correct. I really don't know why.
I started it and I thought it would maby take one or mady even two hours. Something quick. Well...I just finished it and I took at least four hours. Yeeees...fast isn't really my thing. It may havn't took that much time if I had used watercoulour which also was my plan but then I just wnt on with coloured penicls.
So. I drew nearly all of them freehand. Besides of the orange owleye and the green snakeeye.
The first one is Kraas. I started it and I'm okay with it. At least the colours are correct not like the last time I drew him. He looks really really odd and incorrect. I think it's because the eyeshadow is missing. It's exactly what I want. His eyes glow a little bit. Noch really enogh to give a shine on everything around him just a little bis on his fur right next to the eye but enough for not having this eyeshadow. Totally on pupore ^^ Quite proud of this idea.
The next one I don't like. There I really should have used watercolour. At least for the scales. Same on the green one.
The one unted the greay one is supposed to be a horseeye but then I realised: The pupil should be hrizontal. But it's okay...
The bue one with the tears (yes these are tears...or at least they should be...) I don't like. Manly because of the tears.
The owleye is my favourite. I don't like waht I did with the feathers around it bus I love this bright orange and the huge pupils and this slight highlight...
I hate the human one. I just hate it. I messed up the shadows because of my own stupidness and I hate it.
I don't like the scales of the green one. If they wouldn't be so textured the pupis would look okay but not so. But overall the piece needet it. Whithout the bright green it would be unbalanced. That's why I wasn't really satisfied of how this came out until I made this one.
The the green-yellow one...I don't really know what to think of. I really like the hightlights but everything else took another way as I wanted. Still like it. I mean I drew and coloured it completly freehand (: By the way. The inner pupil isn't really part of the pupil. That's why it's brown.
The the grey one I hate. It was supposed to have a lot more eyelashes and why the hell was I making another grey one? What was I thinking?
Overall...I don't really know. My eyes are far from perfect but I can really see a nice progress (: And I could play with my white guashe and really tiny brush. I really love these really tiny highlights (:
